Jean Purgason, 22nd SOPS commander, during a change of command ceremony at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, June 26, 2026.  The 22 SOPS, Det 1 at Malmstrom AFB is responsible for two Special Enclave Networks to include the Secure Global Network (SGN) and the Air Force Special Enclave Video Enterprise Network (AFSEVEN/AF7). 22 SOPS, Det 1 provides mission communications for: critical networks guarding national security capability to the warfighter and other unique missions for select organizations requiring worldwide secure communications services.
