Malmstrom's chaplains have received counselor training and welcome open discussion. They offer absolute confidentiality and are here to help. When you face serious personal problems - If a problem is beginning to make you feel anxious, nervous, empty or depressed, a chaplain can provide confidential counseling and direction.
When there are marital or family problems - whether you are experiencing marital/family problems or would just like to strengthen family relationships, a chaplain can provide empathetic understanding and experienced insights. When you face a deployment - all of the chaplains have experienced deployments and can share with members and their family ways to make the separation less painful. When facing decisions - A chaplain can offer non-judgmental objectivity to help members sort through issues and provide a clearer perspective for decision-making. When someone is to be baptized - A chaplain can explain the significance of baptism as it relates to your faith. Before or after you are engaged - A chaplain can conduct pre-marital counseling and help members address issues such as communication, conflict resolution, transition into married life, parenthood and more. When a loved one dies, contact a chaplain immediately! They can help you in your time of need with a listening ear, words of encouragement and by their mere presence.
When you know someone in need of help, your referral to the chaplain for a friend in need shows you care.

Together a Chaplain and a Religious Affairs Airman make up a Religious Support Team. Although Chaplains are assigned to groups, you are free to seek whomever you wish.
