USSTRACOM Roadshow

U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Thomas Ishee, U.S. Strategic Command’s (USSTRATCOM) Joint Functional Component Command for Global Strike deputy commander, speaks with spouses during a town hall meeting, June 7, 2016, at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. During the event, which was held in conjunction with a U.S. Strategic Command Road Show, Ishee talked about Malmstrom’s role in strategic deterrence, new threats in the world and how we maintain nuclear forces. The road show is a USSTRATCOM outreach effort designed to show service members how their role fits into USSTRATCOM’s strategic deterrence mission. One of nine DoD unified combatant commands, USSTRATCOM has global strategic missions, assigned through the Unified Command Plan, which include strategic deterrence; space operations; cyberspace operations; joint electronic warfare; global strike; missile defense; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; combating weapons of mass destruction; and analysis and targeting.
