Little Bighorn
A sign at the base of Last Stand Hill explains how recent archeological evidence has influenced theories of what occurred June 25, 1876, at the Battle of Little Bighorn. Since none of the cavalrymen with Lt. Col. George Custer survived to recount this part of the battle, some events remain a mystery and evoke the imagination. (U.S. Air Force photo/John Turner)
