Birthday meal
Airmen make a toast during the 341st Force Support Squadron quarterly birthday meal for military members Sept. 27. This quarter was a special treat as selected chefs hosted a five-course dinner with a contemporary style plate setting. Their five-course meal started off with a spicy mango soup, followed by a shrimp avocado ceviche. The entrees were garlic chicken with sun-dried tomatoes atop a bed of Mexican rice along with a delightful margarita-marinated grilled steak with tamarllio salsa and pan-fried potatoes. The final course was a dark fruit pastry drizzled with chocolate and cream. The Elkhorn Dining Facility holds these birthday meals for any military member with birthdays during their respective quarter. (Courtesy photo)
