Fire Prevention Week starts Sunday. The following are a list of events during the week.
Sunday, Oct. 5
· Children's fire truck ride, 1 to 5 p.m., Base Fire Station, Bldg. 349
Monday, Oct. 6
· Sparky at Loy Elementary School, 8 to 11 a.m.
· Winners of "Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives, Test Yours Every Month" poster contest announced at Loy Elementary School.
· Tours of fire department, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., call 731-3560 to schedule.
· Hand out fire safety education pamphlets, 5 to 7 p.m., housing area.
Tuesday, Oct. 7
· Fire truck with Sparky, 10 a.m., base library.
· Hand out fire safety education pamphlets, 5 to 7 p.m., housing area.
Wednesday, Oct. 8
· Fire education display, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Commissary.
· Fire truck with Sparky, 9 a.m., Child Development Center.
· Hand out fire safety education pamphlets, 5 to 7 p.m., housing area.
Thursday, Oct. 9
· Fire education display, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Exchange.
· Sparky and fire truck for part-day program, 9 a.m., Child Development Center.
· Sparky and fire truck for home day care program, 10:30 a.m., Bldg. 4000.
· Tours of fire department, 9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., call 731-3560 to schedule.
· Hand out fire safety education pamphlets, 5 to 7 p.m., housing area.
Friday, Oct. 10
· Fire Muster Competition, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Exchange parking lot.
· Auto extrication demo, 1 p.m., Exchange parking lot.
Saturday, Oct. 11
· Fire prevention display, fire education trailer and fire truck, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Exchange parking lot.
· Fire truck parade, 2:15 p.m.
