Efforts began Feb. 1 to renovate and rearrange the interior of the Grizzly Bend Club.

The changes will include moving the sports bar upstairs to the area that used to be a meeting or conference room, and was also available for small get-togethers. The meeting area will be moved downstairs, as well as the squadron shadow boxes that currently adorn the walls in the upstairs meeting room.

The sports posters that line the stairway and current sports room will be moved upstairs, along with a big-screen television, poker tables, a pool table, a dartboard and two Nintendo Wii consoles. A foosball table is also being purchased for the new sports room. A partial wall will also be constructed to help separate the game room from the bar area.

The downstairs bar will no longer be manned, unless specifically requested for a certain occasion.

"Part of this effort is to get more of the younger Airmen to come and take advantage of the resources the club offers," said Robert Espelund, club manager. "By getting the game room out in the open we hope to attract a new crowd."
