Multicultural Fair planned for Aug. 8 Malmstrom will be holding its annual Multicultural Fair Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sun Plaza Park. The fair is held to celebrate the diversity of Airmen across the Air Force and will feature food samplings, live acts and displays of many different cultural heritages. Public School Information Fair slated Team Malmstrom members are invited to attend the Great Falls Public Schools Information Fair on Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Youth Programs gym. The fair will include information on T.R.O.O.P.S, Hands (a before/after school child care program), transportation, food services, Malmstrom Air Force Base Youth Programs, as well as an opportunity to meet district and school personnel. Game show challenge slated The Airman's Council is hosting a 341st Security Forces Squadron Game Show Challenge at the Grizzly Bend on Aug. 10 from 4 to 5 p.m. Malmstrom's service members are invited to attend the competition and support security forces members. AFGSC Striker Life Half Marathon Air Force Global Strike Command is sponsoring a half marathon, 10K and 5K run scheduled for Aug. 24 at Sun Plaza Park. The half marathon will start at 8 a.m.; 10K starts at 8:30 a.m.; and the 5K starts at 9 a.m. Race day registration will be from 7 to 7:45 a.m. at Sun Plaza Park. Pre-race packets can be picked up at the Fitness Center starting Aug. 22 at noon and Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Packets include T-shirt, race number and a gift from sponsors. Volunteers needed at Paris Gibson Square Paris Gibson Square will be the host site for an Arts on Fire event on Sept. 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. Organizers are looking for 25 to 30 volunteers to provide security during the event and to check identifications. Volunteers will be provided with free food, a security t-shirt to wear while volunteering and two additional tickets to the event share with friends. Members interested in volunteering should contact Jeff Kuratnick at 727-8255. Potential volunteers are asked to sign up by Aug. 25 so shirts can be ordered. Buddy Walk registration has opened The 3rd Annual Under the Big Sky Buddy Walk will take place Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at the University of Great Falls.
