The 2019 Combined Federal Campaign kicked off Oct. 30, at the Grizzly Bend, providing Airmen the first opportunity to donate to a charitable organization through the CFC.

The CFC mission is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

The CFC is the only authorized solicitation of federal employees in their workplaces on behalf of approved charitable organizations.

According to opm.gov, CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with almost 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and overseas raising millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season will support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

“The CFC is convenient for you and the charities,” said 1st Lt. Nnaji Omenye, wing CFC point of contact. “Payroll deduction makes it easy to make small regular contributions that add up to a significant impact.”

This year the wing’s goal is to achieve $75,000 in donations by January 12, 2020 – the final day to make a monetary contribution.

“The CFC provides more than 1,600 charities donors can choose to support,” Omenye said. “This is a great opportunity for us to give back to the communities and make a lasting impact on someone's life, so let's come together and make an impact as a Wing."
