Colonel Soo A. Sohn is the 341st Medical Group Commander, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, where she leads 220 active duty, civilian and contract medical personnel and provides medical support to the Air Force’s largest single missile complex. In this role, she is responsible for optimizing health and medical readiness of 3,300 combat-ready Airmen and providing safe and high quality care for 15,000 Department of Defense beneficiaries throughout northcentral Montana.
Col Sohn received a direct commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force in August 1997, after graduating from Rutgers University. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy and a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from Phoenix University. She has served in a wide variety of assignments at ten medical groups and completed the Air Force Institute of Technology Fellowship Program for Pharmacy Law and Risk Management. Prior to this assignment, Col Sohn was the Commander, 633rd Operational Medical Readiness Squadron, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
