Malmstrom hosts l Air Force 78th Anniversary Ball
Airman Ethan Stump, 819th RED HORSE Squadron pavement and equipment apprentice, and Col. Jason Tompkins, 341st Medical Group commander, cut a United States Air Force anniversary cake during Malmstrom Air Force Base’s annual Air Force Ball Sept. 6, 2025, in Great Falls, Mont. The cake cutting tradition represents the passing of Air Force heritage from one generation to the next, with the oldest and youngest active-duty Airmen on the installation working together to cut the cake.
