Malmstrom welcomes Senator Sheehy for first official visit
Montana Sen. Tim Sheehy receives an MH-139A Grey Wolf brief from Lt. Col. Erik Greendyke, 40th Helicopter Squadron commander, and Lt. Col. Sean Abling, 550th Helicopter Squadron commander, August 6, 2025, during a congressional visit to Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. The visit offered an important opportunity to showcase Malmstrom’s value to both national security and the state of Montana. It provided a platform to deepen Senator Sheehy’s understanding of the wing’s role in nuclear deterrence, its economic impact and its contribution to Montana’s labor force. Building this connection supports the 341st Missile Wing’s ongoing efforts to expand advocacy beyond Great Falls and strengthen influence at both the state and national levels.
