Berlin Airlift
Chuck Childs, president of the Berlin Airlift Veterans Association, looks at scale aircraft models March 3, 2016 at the museum on Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. The visit to the base was Childs’ first time back since training here for three weeks in October, 1948 to fly fully loaded C-54 “Skymaster” transport aircraft into Templehof Airfield, Germany, during the Berlin Airlift.
