Verbal directives

Members of the 819th RED HORSE Squadron airborne team performed jump training at Malmstrom Air Force Base with aerial assistance from the Montana Army National Guard and their Chinook helicopter July 23. Team members receive orders from the front on when to jump and each Airman is responsible for communicating the information to the back of the line. The parachutes weigh about 40 pounds each and their backpacks and gear weigh between 60 to 75 pounds. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Eydie Sakura)
