DUI demo

Staff Sgt. Joseph Knowles, 341st Security Forces Squadron, conducts a Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test on 1st Lt. Alisha Mason, 341st SFS, while Col. Sandra Finan, 341st Space Wing commander, right, and other base commanders observe a dangerous driver awareness and DUI demonstration at the Malmstrom’s Grizzly Bend Club March 14. The demonstration focused on the varying levels of intoxication and educated base commanders on the procedures security forces use to identify dangerous drivers and process them if determined to be impaired. The Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test is designed to look for involuntary eye movement when the eye is at extreme angles. If the eye is determined to have the involuntary movement, the driver is determined to be impaired. (U.S. Air Force photo/John Turner)
