New equipment
The fighter joystick found in the interior of Malmstrom Air Force Base fire department's new Rapid Intervention Vehicle. The stick controls a bumper-mounted turret capable of dispensing dry chemical, foam or water on aircraft fires. Malmstrom AFB and F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo., are the first two bases in the Air Force to receive the vehicles, which will support helicopter operations. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Dillon White)
