Malmstrom quilters

(From left to right) Connie Mcalpin, a local veteran; Joe Watson, from Big Sky Quilts; Chaplain (Capt.) Jeromy Wells, 341st Missile Wing; Joyce Watson, from Big Sky Quilts and Mercy Padgett, from the 341st Medical Operations Squadron, pose with three out of 30 quilts at the Malmstrom clinic that were sent to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany. The thread work was donated to the Quilts of Valor Foundation and will be provided to wounded servicemen and women. The Watsons own Big Sky Quilts in Great Falls, Mont., and donated most of the materials used to make the quilts. Mrs. Mcalpin and Mrs. Padgett volunteered to help sew them. Chaplain Wells arranged and paid for the shipment. (Courtesy photo)
