Airman receives Purple Heart
Senior Airman John Soules, 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron member, inspects an AK-47, a gas operated assault rifle created by the Soviet Union, during his daily detail at an Iraqi police station in Baghdad in early June. Airman Soules was presented the Purple Heart and Air Force Combat Action Medal for wounds received in action June 28, 2007.
