MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- After noticing a disconnect between Malmstrom Air Force Base and what the local community has to offer, the first-ever Career and Education Pathway event was brought to life and will take place May 10, 2019 from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the Grizzly Bend.
More than 30 vendors from federal agencies, local universities and help centers will be available to assist the Wing One family in planning for their future.
“We wanted to bring something to Malmstrom that would really give everyone an excellent opportunity to see the benefits the community offers,” said U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Elizabeth Mayhew, event organizer. “There are so many career and education opportunities here and so many people settle down here, so why not show what you can get when you stay in Great Falls?”
Mayhew organized the event so members of the Malmstrom AFB community could make informed decisions on their next step in life.
“I created a committee of the most knowledgeable resources on base and we pooled together all the different businesses and universities to come,” said Mayhew. “They don’t have to go any further than the Grizzly Bend to ask experts in their respective fields [on] what opportunities our Air Force family can benefit from.”
The Career and Education Pathway event is open to everyone with base access.
