Embry-Riddle to discontinue on-site courses
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will discontinue on-site classes at Malmstrom Air Force Base effective Nov. 3.On-line courses and degrees will continue to be supported. Current students have been notified and will be referred to the Online Learning Department to continue their studies. One ERAU staff member will continue to be available for current students to assist with the transition and can be reached at 727-9901. For more information, go to http://www.erau.edu.

Sitting Fee for CLEP Exams
Due to budgetary constraints, the Malmstrom Education and Training Center can no longer pay Park University the $20 sitting fee per CLEP and DSST exams, effective Oct. 1 and includes all those already scheduled. Students must make payment via check or money order only and for the exact amount (no credit or debit cards and no cash). Please contact Park University at 761-7540 with any questions about payment or to schedule exams.

Sacred Marriage study
The Malmstrom Chapel is hosting a traditional marriage study for couples based on Bible scripture starting Oct. 2 at 6:15 in the conference room. For more information, call Chaplain (Capt.) Robert Compere at 731-4665.

Exchange's new hours
The Army and Air Force Exchange Service is amending Express hours to better reflect demand. After a thorough review of traffic patterns and sales, the Exchange has adjusted hours to the following, now effective: Sunday through Saturday from 4:30 a.m. to midnight. Gas pumps will remain open 24/7.

Scouts to sell popcorn
Boy Scout Troop 43 and Cub Scout Pack 43 from Malmstrom will begin taking orders for Boy Scout popcorn Sept. 28 through Oct. 19 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. in base housing. Air Force accepting prior service applicants
Veterans who served in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces who were honorably discharged and have been separated less than six years may be eligible to serve in the U.S. Air Force. Individuals may have the opportunity to serve in their previous career-field or retrain. Build a Personal Career Plan
Team Malmstrom members can build a personal career plan through the Kuder Assessment Career and Transition System. It is a comprehensive online resource to help plan for the future, learn about interests, skills and work values, and how to use those results to build a personal career plan designed specifically for the individual. The Air Force has a limited amount of licenses available, but once registered, the license is kept for life. For more information or to register, go to http://dantes.kuder.com.

Malmstrom Breast Cancer Awareness 5K
The annual breast cancer awareness 5K run/walk is scheduled for Oct. 10 at the Grizzly Bend at 11 a.m. The first 200 participants who arrive by 10:30 a.m. will receive a free T-shirt. No pets except military working and service dogs are allowed.

Outdoor adventure trips
The following are outdoor adventure trips offered by Malmstrom's Outdoor Recreation:
· A family camping night at Sun Plaza Park is scheduled for Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. to Oct. 6 at 8 a.m.
· A mountain hayride trip is scheduled for Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
· A pumpkin carving night at ODR is scheduled for Oct. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m.
· A Halloween trick or treat night is scheduled for Oct. 31 in base housing. Children and their families will have the opportunity to ride the ODR hay wagon.
