Malmstrom Youth Programs is pleased to announce two winners in the Air Force-level You Got Talent contest. In the Parent and Youth category, Margaret Bilodeau and her daughter Sophia DiLorenzo won 1st place with their duet singing "Traveling Soldier" by the Dixie Chicks. In the Teen Ages 13 to 15 Solo category, Zion Buchi won 2nd place with his piano solo of "Argentina" by Catherine Rollin.

The UGT contest is an annual Air Force event open to all Air Force family members, including the spouses of Airmen and their children ages 3 to 18 years old. The goal of the UGT contest is to develop creative expression and appreciation of the arts in the participants, provide an opportunity for families to participate together in a program and acknowledge the best talent in the Air Force.

There are great prizes for the winners this year. Air Force-level winners in each category will be awarded $500 and select electronic equipment. In addition, they will receive a professional recording of their act, be part of a "U Got Talent" compilation video that will be distributed Air Force-wide and will get the opportunity to perform in front of their home-base crowd the next time Tops In Blue comes to visit. The runner-up Air Force-level participants in each category will receive $300 and select electronic equipment. All participants will also receive a "UGT" T-shirt and certificate.

Congratulations to all winners for their hard work and talent. If you think you have talent, be on the lookout for this year's competition coming to Malmstrom Youth Programs. For more information, contact Stevie Brown at 731-4634.
