Upcoming changes of command
The following are upcoming changes of command:
· The 341st Force Support Squadron change of command is scheduled for June 27 at 9 a.m. at the Grizzly Bend.
· The 341st Munitions Squadron change of command is scheduled for July 1 at 9 a.m. at the Grizzly Bend.

Military Night with Great Falls Voyagers
Team Malmstrom members can pick up free tickets to watch the Great Falls Voyagers play baseball at Centene Stadium on June 28 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Base Fitness Center, Youth Center, Grizzly Bend, Aces High Bowling Center and Outdoor Recreation.

Commissary holiday hours
The Commissary will be closed July 4 and will reopen July 5 at 7 a.m. for early bird shopping and 9 a.m. for regular shopping.

Protestant Multi-Media Technician position open
The Malmstrom Chapel has a contractor position open for a Protestant Multi-Media Technician.
Qualifications include at least one year experience working with audio/visual production systems, to include, professional sound systems and video presentation systems. Demonstration of skills is not required. To obtain a copy of the statement of work and bid documents, stop by the Malmstrom Chapel Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or email tamesia.noble_jeanlouis@us.af.mil. The contractor will be chosen based upon the best value to the government and will be required to have a criminal history background check. All applications are due at noon on July 25 to Master Sgt. Multicultural Fair volunteers needed
The Multicultural committee is looking for volunteers to help with the upcoming Multicultural Fair on Aug. 13. If you are interested, contact Capt. Crystalyn Brown at 731-4406 or Staff Sgt. Jennifer Favinger at 731-2481.

Feds feed families
The 2014 Feds Feed Families Campaign began June 1 and will run through end of August. Managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, this program provides an opportunity for Federal employees and others to donate non-perishable food items to support local food banks. Prepared donation bags containing approximately $10 worth of assorted non-perishable food items are available at the commissary. Bags can be purchased at registers and placed in the large blue donation box.

Consumer confidence report now available
The 2013 Consumer Confidence Report for Malmstrom Air Force base is now available. This report details the quality of the drinking water based on water samples taken throughout 2013 at Malmstrom AFB. Tap water on base has met all federal and state drinking water health standards. Both Malmstrom AFB's 2013 CCR and the City of Great Falls' 2013 CCR can be viewed at www.malmstrom .af.mil. Both reports inform members of the local areas' drinking water quality.

Thrift store summer hours
The Malmstrom Thrift store has transitioned to summer hours and will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays only.

Spouse's Club

Trail maintenance volunteer opportunity
The Montana Wilderness Association is looking for volunteers to help with trail maintenance on the Continental Divide Trail from July 27 to 31 and August 1 to 3. Volunteers will hike approximately 5 to 8 miles roundtrip each day and will be trimming limbs and bushes and making needed improvements to the trail. Volunteers will be based out of the Miner Lake Campground in the Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest. DECA Pathways Program
If you are a student and interested in working at the commissary during the summer, you can apply for the DECA Pathways Program at www.usajobs.gov. On the website, click on 'Search Jobs' tab and type in DECA Pathways. Then, click on 'How to Apply' to complete the application.

WIC, parenting classes available
The following are classes offered for military members with children:
· WIC is a special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children helping with education on healthy eating and free healthy food vouchers. Appointments are available on Wednesdays from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Malmstrom Air Force Base pediatric office. Call 406-454-6953 to set up an appointment.
· Circle of security parenting classes - Classes focus on bonding, attachment and building self-esteem with your children, are offered through the City County Health Department. For more information on the location and dates, call Jo-Viviane at 791-9262.


AFAS reinstates 'Give Parents a Break' at Malmstrom
The Air Force Aid Society has reinstated the "Give Parents a Break" program, which provides childcare for eligible active-duty Air Force members. AFAS pays the cost of opening the base Child Development Center once a month from noon to 5 p.m. for families referred to the program. Families using the center will not be charged for the care. Parents are advised to sign children up each month, have a current referral and ensure paperwork is up to date. The following are dates for available care: July 12, Aug. 2, Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 8 and Dec. 6. For more information, call Ashley Smith at 731-4900.


Outdoor adventure trips
The following are outdoor adventure trips offered by Malmstrom's Outdoor Recreation:

· A stand-up paddle board trip to Broadwater Bay is scheduled for June 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
· A Missouri River family float class is scheduled July 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
· A Sluice Box rappelling/hiking trip is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 12.

GI Bill brief
The Education and Training Center will be holding two monthly briefings to help clarify Force Shaping programs. They will be held the first Thursday of the month at 10 a.m., and the third Friday of the month at 1 p.m. In addition, they will be discussing the Montgomery G.I.
