Department of Defense launches MCC at Malmstrom Published Nov. 16, 2015 By Kathy Desy 341st Force Support Squadron MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, MONT. -- Military Child Care, or MCC, is a Department of Defense web-based program that makes it easier to find the child and youth care a military family or DoD civilian needs. MCC is designed to simplify and improve the child care request for care process. MCC provides a single online gateway for families to access military operated or military-subsidized child care options worldwide across all military branches. The site enables families to create a household profile, conduct child care searches, submit requests for care and manage their requests at any time and from any location. MCC, which is being introduced worldwide in phases and will launch Nov. 16 at Malmstrom, offers a more streamlined approach to finding and requesting care, expedites placement through a standard request process and waitlist management tools, and provides reports that help programs better plan for future placement needs. Through MCC, eligible families can search and request care for full-day or part-day options in Malmstrom's Child Development Center, School Age Care program and Family Child Care homes for children from birth to age 12. Malmstrom families currently on the CDC waitlist have been automatically transitioned to MCC.com. Families retain the original date of their request for care and all enrollment processes will remain the same. For further information on MCC, contact the CDC desk staff at 731-2415. Families can also access the program at MilitaryChildCare.com.
