The 341st Force Support Squadron held a spring carnival March 26 at the Youth Center for the base's youth and families.

"The spring carnival is the kick off to the Month of the Military Child," said Stevie Brown, 341st FSS youth and teen programmer, and point of contact for this year's spring carnival. "This event is held to let military children and their families know how much we appreciate them."

The carnival offered a variety of activities for Malmstrom's children and families to participate in including carnival games, cotton candy booths and face painting.

"Our mission is to assist Department of Defense military and civilian personnel in balancing the competing demands of the DOD mission and family life," said Brown. "We do this by managing and delivering quality and affordable programs for Airmen and their families."

The spring carnival is an annual event hosted by the Youth Center to give Airmen and families an opportunity to participate in a base-wide activity focused on children's welfare and comraderie between military families.

Aside from the efforts of the Youth Center staff, several of Malmstrom's members stepped forward to volunteer their time to the cause.

"The spring carnival is an annual event that the Youth Center has held for more than 30 years, and we hope to be serving the military community for many more years to come," said Brown.
