Deborah Frazier 341st Space Wing Staff Judge Advocate Office MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- The following individuals received non-judicial punishments during the month of January: An airman first class from the 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron received a reduction to airman basic and 30 days restriction for possession, introduction and distribution of marijuana onto the installation. A senior airman from the 341st LRS received a forfeiture of $165, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand for being disorderly during a squadron holiday party. A senior airman from the 490th Missile Squadron received a reduction to airman first class, suspended forfeiture of $500 for two months and 45 days extra duty for driving a vehicle while drunk and for failing to refrain from driving the wrong way on a one way road. An airman first class from the 564th MS received a reduction to airman basic, forfeiture of $636 for two months, 45 days extra duty, 45 days restriction and reprimand for failing to obey a no contact order. An airman from the 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a reduction to airman basic, forfeiture of $500 for two months with the portion of the forfeitures in excess of $150 suspended for two months, 30 days restriction, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand for driving a vehicle while drunk, failing to refrain from driving 65 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone and for failing to have a valid insurance policy. An airman from the 741st MSFS received a reduction to airman basic for overindulging in intoxicating liquor within eight hours of duty. An airman first class from 741st MSFS received suspended reduction to airman, suspended forfeiture of $100 for two months, restriction for 14 days and a reprimand for being disorderly by making an inappropriate statement. A staff sergeant from the 819th RED HORSE Squadron received a suspended reduction to senior airman, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand for making unauthorized purchases with his Government Travel Card. A senior airman from the 341st Security Forces Support Squadron received a suspended reduction to airman first class, forfeiture of $380 with the portion of the forfeitures in excess of $190 suspended, seven days extra duty and a reprimand for failing to obey a no contact order. NOTE: Punishments may vary from Airman to Airman. When deciding on an appropriate level of punishment, commanders take into consideration the member's oral and written presentation, the member's duty performance and past history of misconduct, the need for good order and discipline, and the nature and circumstances of the offenses.
