Last bow education class to be held this month
The final bow hunter education course for 2007 being offered in Great Falls is from 6 to 9 p.m. June 27 and 28, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 30 at the Fish, Wildlife and Parks office, 4600 Giant Springs Road.

Registration for this class is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 19 and from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. June 20 to 22 also at the FWP office.

For the first time, bowhunter education students 18 and older can opt to take a portion of the course via the Internet. Online students study at home at their own pace. However, the online course costs $20. It is available at www.nbef.org.

Students who participate in the traditional free classroom course are required to attend all four sessions. The field day is June 30 for both classroom and online students.
Students 12 to 17 must have a parent with them during registration. All first time bow hunters, regardless of age, must complete a bow hunter education course. State law says anyone buying an archery license must show a certificate of completion for bow hunter education or a previous year's license.
