Swimming season is upon us Published June 15, 2007 By 341st Space Wing Public Affairs Office staff MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- It isn't officially summer until next week, but the base swimming pool officially opened for the season June 6. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7:45p.m. Swim lessons are held until noon, then lap swim is offered until 12:45 p.m. Open swim follows starting at 1 p.m. On weekends and holidays the pool is open from 1 to 7:45 p.m. Private parties or special functions, such as squadron get-togethers can be held from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. any day of the week and from 9 a.m. to noon weekends and holidays. Party rental is $50 per hour and there is a two hour minimum. Party rental includes the use of the water slide. Season passes are also available. Family season passes cost $70, family monthly passes cost $35 and single member season passes cost $35. Swimming passes are non-transferable, non-refundable and will not be pro-rated. Daily use fees are $2.50 per day for adults and guests, $2 per day for youth under 18 and $1 per day for non-active duty military members wanting to lap swim. Lap swim is free for active duty. All of this year's free swimming lesson classes are filled. Adult lessons or private lessons are available upon request.
