Airmen receive Article 15 punishments

MALMSTORM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- The following individuals received non-judicial punishment during the month of June. 
* An airman first class from the 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman, suspended reduction to airman basic, forfeiture of $150 pay for two months, restriction to base for 60 days and a reprimand for shoplifting at the base exchange. 
* An airman first class from the 341st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman basic, suspended forfeiture of $650 pay for two months and restriction to base for 60 days for failure to go to appointed place of duty, going from appointed place of duty, failing to obey an order and false official statement. 
* An airman from the 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman basic and 15 days extra duty for failing to go to an appointed place of duty and disrespect to an NCO. 
* An airman first class from the 341st Services Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman, restriction to base for 30 days and 30 days extra duty for dereliction of duty for drinking underage and being drunk on duty. 
* An airman first class from the 741st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman basic, restriction to base for 60 days and a reprimand for dereliction of duty for storing a firearm in a vehicle on the installation, having visitors under the age of 18 in a dorm room, possessing alcohol while under the age of 21, sleeping on duty, failing to obey a no contact order on two occasions and assault. 
* An airman first class from the 741st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman basic, restriction to base for 60 days and a reprimand for dereliction of duty for not limiting breaks to five minutes every hour, failing to refrain from entering a dorm room while on bay orderly and brandishing a firearm. 
* An airman from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman basic, suspended forfeiture of $650 pay for two months, restriction to base for 30 days and 30 days extra duty for using provoking words and spitting on another airman. 
* A staff sergeant from the 341st Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of senior airman, forfeiture of $500 pay for two months and a reprimand for driving while drunk. 
* An airman first class from the 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman, forfeiture of $200 pay, restriction to base for 30 days, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand for dereliction of duty for underage drinking. 
* An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman, suspended forfeiture of $340 pay and 14 days extra duty for dereliction of duty for failing to maintain dormitory room in a neat and orderly manner, and having a visitor sleep in the dormitory room. 
* A senior airman from the 741st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman first class, suspended forfeiture of $864 pay for two months, and a reprimand for causing a breach of peace, assault and drunk and disorderly conduct. 
* A senior airman from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman first class, suspended forfeiture of $403 and 14 days extra duty for failing to go to appointed place of duty and failing to obey an order. 
* An airman first class from the 341st MMXS received a reduction to the rank of airman basic and suspended forfeiture of $650 pay for two months for failing to go to appointed place of duty on three occasions and making a false official statement. 

NOTE: Punishments may vary from Airman to Airman. When deciding on an appropriate level of punishment, commanders take into consideration the member's oral and written presentation, the member's duty performance and past history of misconduct, the need for good order and discipline, and the nature and circumstances of the offenses.
