Military justice report - August

MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. --  The following individuals received non-judicial punishment during the month of August. 

- An airman first class from the 341st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman, a forfeiture of $200 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 30 days and 30 days extra duty for drinking while under the age of 21 and making a false official statement.

- An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman, restriction to base for 30 days and 30 days extra duty for unlawful entry into another Airman's dormitory.

- An airman first class from the 12th Missile Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman, a suspended reduction to the rank of airman basic, a suspended forfeiture of $150 pay per month for two months, a suspended 14 days extra duty and a reprimand for two incidents of dereliction of duty and for disobeying a superior commissioned officer.

- A technical sergeant from the 341st Medical Support Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of staff sergeant and a forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months with one month of the forfeiture suspended for willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, dereliction of duty and making a false official statement.

- An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman and 30 days extra duty for failing to stop at a stop sign and driving while drunk.

- An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman, a forfeiture of $200 pay per month for two months and 30 days extra duty for failing to obey an order.

- A master sergeant from the 819th RED HORSE Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of technical sergeant, a forfeiture of $1,250 pay per month for two months with $1,000 of the each month's forfeiture suspended and a reprimand for driving the wrong way down a one-way street and driving while drunk.

- A senior airman from the 741st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman first class, a suspended forfeiture of $300 pay per month for two months and a reprimand for consuming alcohol within eight hours of duty and for being drunk on duty.

- A senior airman from the 819th RHS received a reduction to the rank of airman first class, a suspended forfeiture of $864 pay per month for two months and a reprimand for possessing an open container of alcohol in the passenger area of his vehicle and for driving while drunk.

- A senior airman from the 341st Space Wing received a reduction to the rank of airman first class and 20 days extra duty for failing to pay her government travel card bill.

- An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a forfeiture of $200 pay per month for two months and 30 days extra duty for driving on a suspended license.

NOTE: Punishments may vary from Airman to Airman. When deciding on an appropriate level of punishment, commanders take into consideration the member's oral and written presentation, the member's duty performance and past history of misconduct, the need for good order and discipline, and the nature and circumstances of the offenses.
