Ladies Night at the HAWC
The Health and Wellness Center staff invite all ladies 16 and older to attend "Ladies Night at the HAWC" tonight starting at 7 p.m. The evening is intended to be a celebration of women and an opportunity to learn ways to reduce the risks of breast cancer. Prize bags will be given to the first 25 ladies to arrive and all attendees will be entered into a drawing for one of two prizes valued at $500. Call 731-4292 for complete details.

Heartlink orientation class is Oct. 24
A military spouse orientation program, called Heartlink, will take place Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 pm. at the chapel annex. All military spouses who have not attended a prior Heartlink session are invited to attend to learn more about being a spouse in the Air Force and within the Malmstrom community. Child care can be provided but arrangements need to be made ahead of time. Call 731-4900 for more information or to sign up.

'On the Road' event prepares new drivers
The Girl Scouts of Big Sky Council will sponsor "On the Road" Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for girls in 10th to 12th grades.
"On the Road" will let girls take a look at what they need to know before and after getting a driver's license. They will learn about purchasing a car, insurance for the car, and the safety and maintenance involved with owning a car.
The cost to attend is $15 for Girl Scouts and $25 for non-registered Girl Scouts. Registration is required. Site information will be given at the time of registration.

Harvest Festival at chapel announced
The annual Harvest Festival will take place Oct. 29 at the chapel annex. Admission is one can of food per person. Non-scary costumes are encouraged. Hot dogs and snacks will be provided. For more information, call 731-3721.

Clothing drive scheduled
Cub Scout Pack 43 and Boy Scout Troop 43 from Malmstrom will conduct their 5th Annual Coat and Warm Clothing Drive Oct. 27 to benefit the children residing at the Great Falls Rescue Mission. Donations can be dropped off in the parking lot of the Popcorn Colonel, 1610 10th Ave. S. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call the Rescue Mission at 761-2653 or Char Ross at 771-1210.

Town Hall meeting scheduled
There will be a Town Hall meeting Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in the chapel annex to discuss the possibility of starting a Gospel worship service at Malmstrom. For more information, call Chap. (Capt.) Mark Roberts at 731-3721.

Postal Service will supply packing materials
The United States Postal Service has a program for military family members and friends to supply them with packaging materials to send packages to troops overseas.
Call 1-800-610-8734 and select option 1, then hit 1 again. Ask them for the "military pack." They will send you eight boxes, tape, packaging materials and labels. They will also give you an ID number so if your supply runs low, you can call for more. The materials take about four to 10 days to receive.

Thrift shop offers bargains to all
The Malmstrom Thrift and Consignment Store is located in building 145 and is open every Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Selections include children's clothing to bedroom sets and the selection of items constantly changes. Consignments are accepted until 1 p.m. and donations are always appreciated. For more information, call the store at 731-3213.
