Mercantile auction is Saturday 
Malmstrom's spouses' club is holding its annual mercantile auction Nov. 3 at the Grizzly Bend Club. The event begins with a silent auction starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by a no-host international buffet at 6:30 p.m. and a live auction at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call Andrea Tembreull at 750-3636. 

'Open Mic Night' planned at Detour 
There will be an "Open Mic Night" presented by L.I.P. - Lyrically Inclined Poets - Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Detour. Anyone interested in participating or needing more information should contact Airman 1st Class Audrey Hopgood at 731-7140. 

SFG holding ruck march 
In honor of Veteran's Day, the 341st Security Forces Group will hold a ruck march Nov. 9. Participants need to be in the lower gym not later than 8:30 a.m. with a ruck sack filled with 30 pounds. For those wanting to participate who do not have a ruck, a limited number are available to borrow. The march will start at 9 a.m. For more information, call 2nd Lt. David Lycan at 750-1602. 

Beading event at chapel 
There will he a ladies beading event Nov. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the chapel annex. The cost is $15 which includes the cost of materials and a donation to the Great Falls Women's Shelter. Participants are also asked to bring along some cookies to share. Child care will not be available. For more information, call Petra Ganno at 866-0855 or 750-4392. 

Retiree's Committee looking for new members 
The Malmstrom Retiree's Committee is looking for new members. Anyone interested is invited to attend the next meeting at the Grizzly Bend Club Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 11:30 a.m.. The committee is looking for new voices and inputs from the retiree community around us. The group is open to retired military and spouses of retired military members. Ski patrol holding fund raiser 
The Great Falls Ski Patrol will be hosting the 15th Annual Best of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour Films starting at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Mansfield Theater in the Great Falls Civic Center. Tickets cost $8 per person and are available at El Comedor Restaurant, Big Horn Wilderness Equipment, Kaufman's Menswear, Skiers Edge or from any ski patrol member. Stamp club announces meetings 
The Great Fall Stamp Club meets the second and last Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Central Christian Church, 1025 Central Ave. The first meeting in November will be a swap night and is a good time for newcomers to attend. The last meeting will be a business meeting. For more information, call 454-1280. Winter golf schedule determined Anaconda Hills will open for winter golf Nov. 15 to Dec. 31. Eagle Falls will open from Jan. 2 to Feb. 15, weather conditions permitting. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with no extensions. Golfers need to be off the course by 4 p.m. There is no charge to golf during the winter, however golfers are asked to sign in. Play will be in reverse order and temporary greens, marked with blue stakes, will be used. Carts will not be allowed.
