The Largest Loser : Season 2

The Largest Loser is a program designed to help Team Malmstrom personnel -active duty and family members - lose weight and gain an education that will help them maintain their weight loss for the long term. The program begins Jan. 11 and runs through April 4. The Largest Loser has three winning categories. They are: the greatest amount of weight loss, largest abdominal circumference decrease and the greatest decrease in body-fat percentage.

Registration starts Jan. 7 and ends Jan. 11. All participants must be registered during this time. Registration will be done on a first-come basis. The first 75 participants to register will be accepted. Baseline assessments will be taken on Jan. 14 to 16. This includes taking weight, body-fat percentage and measuring abdominal circumference. An orientation will be included in the Exercise 101 class Jan. 17.

Requirements: 
 * Participants must be registered during the registration period Jan. 7 to 11. 
 * Participants must attend two educational classes per month at the Health and  
Wellness Center. 
 * Participants must either work with a trainer or participate in aerobics classes a total of four times per month at the fitness center. Trainer/staff members will be available for assistance at the fitness center. 
*  All participants must be 16 years of age and able to perform physical exercise. 
 * Participants must keep an exercise log.

Prizes: The winner of each category will receive a medallion and one of the following prizes. 
* A Better Body recumbent bike ($500 value) 
* One month of personal training ($500 package) 
 *One month of private yoga instruction ($500 package)
