Children's Dental Health Month activities announced
February is National Children's Dental Health Month. Members of the dental clinic staff will be at the Child Development Center Feb. 13 at 9 a.m., at the base Library Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. and at the Youth Center Feb. 27 at 3:30 p.m. to discuss proper dental hygiene with Malmstrom's Little Warriors. The CDC and Youth Center appearances are for children already enrolled in the programs there. The Library appearance is open to all eligible patrons. Call 731-2511 for more information.

Lenten services added to Catholic schedule
Ash Wednesday is Feb. 6 and Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Chapel.
The Stations of the Cross will take place Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. followed by a potluck dinner starting Feb. 7 and continuing through March 13.
Starting Feb. 10 and running each Sunday through Lent is a Catholic young adult mass. It starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Detour, building 650.

Annual Awards Banquet
The 341st Space Wing Annual Awards Banquet is Feb. 12 at the Best Western Heritage Inn. Social hour starts at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Menu choices are beef sirloin with mashed potatoes or honey almond chicken with rice pilaf. Cost is $15 for airmen through staff sergeants and $20 for technical sergeants and above. The dress for military members is mess-dress/semi-formal and for civilians, formal attire. Contact your unit point of contact or protocol for tickets.
Childcare is being offered at the CDC the night of the banquet from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. The cost is $21 per child and includes the evening meal and one snack. Registration and payment is required by Feb. 8. Bring the child's shot record with you when you register. MSC scholarship applications being accepted
The Malmstrom Spouses Club is now accepting applications for FY08 scholarships. High school seniors can pick up an application from their guidance counselor and military spouses can pick one up from the Education Center on base or the college they are attending's financial aid office. Applicants must be family members of active-duty or retired military personnel. Applications need to be turned in by March 31.

Change to service location
The Contemporary Worship Service offered on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. is now being held at the chapel. Questions should be directed to 731-3721.

Construction underway at Clinic
The Standard Interior Design and Main Entry Renovation Project for the Malmstrom AFB Clinic is under way. The first area that will be under renovation is the east corridor. During this time (projected Jan. 7 to Feb. 14) the east corridor will be shut down for public access. The east entrance will be open for Mental Health and Family Advocacy patients and staff only.

Library hours reduced
The hours at the base library are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. only.

Wood pile closing
The base wood pile will close to the general public effective March 1. Access will then be limited to authorized military organizations and contractors. Questions should be directed to the 341st Civil Engineer Squadron at 731-4695 or 731-6448.

Airman's Attic needs volunteers
The Airman's Attic is located in building 4000, next to the Child Development Center and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items available from the Airman's Attic are for enlisted technical sergeants and below. Changes to phone directory
The 341st Space Wing will be starting the process to update the base guide in the near future. Part of that process is the phone directory, which is compiled by and maintained by the 341st Communications Squadron. Anyone with information that needs to be changed, added or deleted, should call 731-2176 or e-mail tammy.newman.ctr@malmstrom.af.mil. Changes need to be submitted by March 1 to be included in the next base guide published.

Great Falls stamp club events announced
The Great Falls Stamp Club meets the second and last Monday of every month at Central Christian Church, 1025 Central Avenue, at 7 p.m. There will be a swap meet and circuit books at the Feb. 11 meeting and a business meeting and auction will take place Feb. 24. New members and visitors are always welcomed.

Swimming lessons offered at Natatorium
Swimming lessons are set to begin Feb. 18 at the Morony Natatorium. Classes will be held from 4 to 4:45 p.m. and from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The cost is $30. Register at the Natatorium or call 452-3733 for more information.
