341st Services Squadron wins AFSPC Eubanks Award Published Jan. 31, 2008 By Airman 1st Class Dillon White 341st Space Wing Public Affairs Office MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- The 341st Services Squadron won the 2007 Air Force Space Command Major General Eugene L. Eubank Services Award beating out three other small bases in AFSPC. The Order of Daedalian Foundation established the award in 1990 to recognize excellence in services squadrons at small bases. "The small base category award was given its name to commemorate a decorated Air Force veteran," said Maj. Rosalyn Walker, 341st SVS commander. "[Maj. Gen. Eubanks] was a strong proponent and supporter of quality-of-life programs for Air Force members and their families." In 2007, the 341st SVS team campaigned and received $15.5 million for construction, equipment and training upgrades. The squadron won the award due to positive customer service plus identifying and meeting the needs of their customers, Major Walker said. "We are ecstatic," the squadron commander said. "We have always known we have great people and great programs that support the Malmstrom mission with awesome customer service. We serve the best customers in Blanchard Trophy country!" The next stage of competition will be Air Force-level and Major Walker said the unit is excited and proud to represent Malmstrom and AFSPC. "We believe we are simply the best choice for AFSPC and the Air Force," Major Walker said. To prepare for Air Force-level competition, the squadron is fine tuning simple things that makes them AFSPC's best, Major Walker said. "Our major command functionals are assisting us with a preparation visit mid-February," she said. "There are many administrative pieces of the puzzle like in-briefs, videos, icebreakers and itineraries; however, the most important piece is the support of our customers."
