The Education Center provides many different types of tests to take for Military members. All tests are administered at the Education and Training Center, building 1240, room 107.

AFCT/ASVAB- Also referred to as the Armed Forces Classification Test, but most people refer to it as the ASVAB. The AFCT can be taken by Air Force members who wish to update their ASVAB scores or are interested in retraining and receiving a higher test score. The AFCT is administered the first and third Friday of each month. It is a three-hour test and results are immediate.

AFOQT- The Air Force Officer Qualifying Test. The AFOQT is for enlisted members who are applying to become officers, or for officers trying to increase their previous scores. This test can be administered to civilians also, if they are becoming officers after college graduation. This test takes about four hours, and results are known within two to four weeks. The AFOQT is offered the second Friday of each month.

AFRAT- The Air Force Reading Comprehension test is offered every Thursday morning (afternoon, during WAPS testing) at 8 a.m. This test determines the school grade level you are reading at. The AFRAT is a one-hour examination, and you can find out your results immediately.

DLAB- The Defense Language Aptitude Battery exam. The DLAB is for testing your propensity to learn a new language. This test can be beneficial for members who are interested in specialty fields such as linguists and OSI. Individuals who are candidates for foreign language training conducted by DLI will need this testing. The DLAB is given every Thursday morning (afternoon, during WAPS testing) at 8 a.m. The DLAB is a one and a half hour long examination. Test results are immediate.

DLPT- The Defense Language Proficiency Test; the DLPT is for members who want to get paid for a foreign language. If a member passes, they may be eligible for FLPP pay. The DLPT is administered on Thursday mornings (afternoon, during WAPS testing) at 8 a.m. The exams vary in length but are approximately three to five hours long, and the results are immediate.

EDPT- The Electronic Data Processing Test. The EDPT is for computer Programmers or crypto personnel. The EDPT is offered on Thursday mornings at 8 a.m. The EDPT is about two hours long and results are immediate.

TBAS- The Test of Basic Aviation Skills is for members interested in the flying field. The TBAS requires the member to have current college transcripts before they take the TBAS. This test is an hour long, and results are given usually within three to four hours. The TBAS is offered the last Friday of every month.

WAPS TESTING- Weighted Airman Promotion System Testing. There are four promotion testing cycles throughout the year. WAPS testing is at 8 a.m. every morning. Individuals eligible to test will be testing in their promotion cycle. The next promotion cycle starts May 1 for senior airman testing to staff sergeant.
