Malmstrom Military Justice Report for March Published April 16, 2008 341st Space Wing Legal Office MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- Non-Judicial Punishment An airman basic from the 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron received a forfeiture of $150 pay and a reprimand for attempting to disobey a lawful order. An airman from the 341st LRS received a reduction to the rank of airman basic, 15 days of extra duty, and a reprimand for attempting to disobey a lawful order, dereliction of duty by failing to steam clean the carpets in the dormitory, and making a false official statement. An airman first class from the 341st Services Squadron received a reduction to the rank of Airman, a suspended forfeiture of $300 pay per month for two months, and 21 days of extra duty for assault consummated by a battery. A staff sergeant from the 819th RED HORSE Squadron received a reduction to the rank of senior airman and 30 days of extra duty for failing to obey a lawful general regulation and making a false official statement. A senior airman from the 341st Civil Engineer Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman first class and 45 days of extra duty for dereliction of duty by using a government travel card while not in an official travel status. A senior airman from the 341st SVS received a reduction to the rank of airman first class, forfeiture of $894 pay, and 14 days of extra duty for leaving the place of duty and failing to go at the time prescribed to the place of duty. An airman first class from the 341st CES received a suspended forfeiture of $100 pay per month for two months, 30 days of extra duty, and a reprimand for failing to go at the time prescribed to the place of duty. An airman first class from the 341st Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of Airman, restriction to base for 30 days, and a reprimand for failing to obey a lawful order. An airman first class from the 341st SFS received a reduction to the rank of airman basic, a suspended forfeiture of $200 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 60 days, and a reprimand for dereliction of duty by consuming alcohol while under the age of 21, failing to obey a lawful order, damaging government property and assaulting another airman. An airman first class from the 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman, forfeiture of $100 pay per month for two months and 15 days of extra duty for driving while drunk. An airman first class from the 341st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman and restriction to the base for 30 days for failing to go at the time prescribed to the appointed place of duty, using disrespectful language toward an non-commissioned officer and failing to obey a lawful order. A staff sergeant from the 341st MSFS received a suspended reduction to the rank of senior airman, a forfeiture of $300 pay, and a reprimand for failing to go at the time prescribed to the appointed place of duty and dereliction of duty by consuming alcohol within eight hours prior to duty. An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman and 30 days of extra duty for dereliction of duty by consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 and driving while drunk. An airman first class from the 341st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman and restriction to base for 30 days for fleeing apprehension by a police officer, assault consummated by a battery and carrying a concealed weapon. An airman from the 741st MSFS received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman basic, restriction to base for 30 days, and a reprimand for dereliction of duty by consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 and wrongfully taking another Airman's mail. An airman first class from the 490th Missile Squadron received a forfeiture of $300 pay per month for two months for dereliction of duty by failing to keep a missile alert facility kitchen in inspection order. NOTE: Punishments may vary from airman to airman. When deciding on an appropriate level of punishment, commanders take into consideration the member's oral and written presentation, the member's duty performance and past history of misconduct, the need for good order and discipline, and the nature and circumstances of the offenses.
