Malmstrom loses team member

MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. --  Airman 1st Class John R. Howry, 341st Security Forces Squadron, died May 5. A memorial service in his honor was held at 4 p.m. today at the Malmstrom Air Force Base Chapel. 

Airman Howry arrived at Malmstrom Aug. 23, 2007, and was a security forces specialist with the 341st Security Forces Squadron. The Silverdale, Wash., native entered active duty Jan. 20, 2007. Airman Howry's date of rank is July 30, 2007. 

His awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Air Force Training Ribbon.
