Military Justice Report for May 2008 Published June 4, 2008 By 341st SW Judge Advocate Office personnel MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- The following individuals received non-judicial punishments during the month of May: An airman first class from the 341st SpaceWing received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand for making two false official statements. An airman first class from the 341st Civil Engineer Squadron received a suspended forfeiture of $793 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 30 days and 30 days of extra duty for leaving the place of duty without authorization. An airman first class from the 341st CES received 15 days of extra duty and a reprimand for disobeying a lawful order. An airman from the 341st Security Forces Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman basic, a suspended forfeiture of $314 pay per month and a reprimand for failing to go to the appointed place of duty and disobeying a lawful order. An airman first class from the 341st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman and 30 days of extra duty for sleeping on post. A senior airman from the 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman with reduction below airman first class suspended, 45 days of extra duty and a reprimand for driving while under the influence of alcohol. An airman basic from the 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron received a forfeiture of $673 pay per month with forfeitures in excess of $150 pay suspended, restriction to base for 15 days and 30 days of extra duty with extra duty in excess of 10 days suspended for failing to obey a lawful order. An airman first class from the 341st Security Support Squadron received a forfeiture of $150 pay per month for two months for being drunk and disorderly. An airman first class from the 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman, a forfeiture of $352 pay with forfeitures in excess of $50 pay suspended and a reprimand for failing to go to the appointed place of duty. An airman from the 741st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman basic, a forfeiture of $673 pay per month for two months with forfeitures in excess of $673 suspended, restriction to base for 60 days and a reprimand for dereliction of duty by consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 and driving under the influence of alcohol. A first lieutenant from the 341st Services Squadron received a forfeiture of $1,676 pay per month for two months and a reprimand for dereliction of duty by dating an enlisted member, false official statement and fraternization. An airman first class from the 490th Missile Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman for dereliction of duty by not completing the AF Form 1975, Personal Fitness Progress Chart. A technical sergeant from the 341st SSPTS received a suspended reduction to the rank of staff sergeant, a forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months and a reprimand for dereliction of duty by failing to ensure the transfer of equipment, dereliction of duty by failing to conduct a physical inventory of equipment within the allotted timeframe and three false official statements. A senior airman from the 341st MMXS received a reduction to the rank of airman with reduction below airman first class suspended, restriction to base for 45 days, 30 days of extra duty and a reprimand for driving while under the influence of alcohol. NOTE: Punishments may vary from Airman to Airman. When deciding on an appropriate level of punishment, commanders take into consideration the member's oral and written presentation, the member's duty performance and past history of misconduct, the need for good order and discipline, and the nature and circumstances of the offenses.
