Military Justice Report for June 2008 Published July 10, 2008 By 341st Missile Wing Judge Advocate Office MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- The following individuals received non-judicial punishments during the month of June: A first lieutenant from the 12th Missile Squadron received a forfeiture of $1,676 pay per month for two months and a reprimand for assault consummated by a battery and being drunk and disorderly. An airman first class from the 341st Civil Engineer Squadron received a forfeiture of $793 pay per month for two months for failure to go to the appointed place of duty, two counts of dereliction of duty by failing to sign in and out and failing to perform physical training and a false official statement. A technical sergeant from the 341st Mission Support Squadron received a reduction to the rank of staff sergeant, forfeiture of $1,361 pay per month for two months and a reprimand for indecent language and being disorderly. An airman first class from the 341st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a suspended forfeiture of $300 pay and 30 days of extra duty for assault and being disorderly. An airman first class from the 741st MSFS received a reduction to the rank of airman for failure to go to the appointed place of duty and false official statement. An airman first class from the 341st CES received a reduction to the rank of airman for failure to go to the appointed place of duty, dereliction of duty and false official statement. A senior airman from the 819th RED HORSE Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman first class, forfeiture of $894 pay per month for two months and 30 days of extra duty for driving under the influence of alcohol. A senior airman from the 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron received a reduction to the rank of airman first class, forfeiture of $200 pay per month for two months, 30 days of extra duty and a reprimand for driving under the influence of alcohol. An airman first class from the 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman, a suspended forfeiture of $500 pay, and 10 days of extra duty with five days suspended, and a reprimand for dereliction of duty by failing to properly store a privately-owned weapon and ammunition. An airman basic from the 341st LRS received a forfeiture of $300 pay for failure to go to the appointed place of duty. An airman basic from the 341st LRS received a forfeiture of $523 pay for failure to go to the appointed place of duty. NOTE: Punishments may vary from Airman to Airman. When deciding on an appropriate level of punishment, commanders take into consideration the member's oral and written presentation, the member's duty performance and past history of misconduct, the need for good order and discipline, and the nature and circumstances of the offenses.
