Entomology has been receiving numerous calls concerning the presence of mosquitoes around base. Entomology is aware of the presence of mosquitoes and has already started fogging for them. They do this during the morning hours each day to help reduce the mosquito population.

Remember that you can help reduce the number of mosquitoes by limiting the number of mosquito breeding areas. Any where standing water can collect (e.g. kiddy pools, flower pots, roof gutters) is a potential breeding ground and can produce a large number of mosquitoes in a few days.

Public Health has been setting up mosquito light traps around base in an effort to assess vector-borne disease risk in the area. If you happen to see one of our traps, please do not touch or tamper with them.

If you have any questions, please call Public Health at 731-4405 or Entomology at 731-7057.
