Base chapel to host free dinner The base chapel is hosting a free catered dinner Sept. 24 in the base chapel at 5 p.m. The dinner is open to anyone. AWANA program, Gospel Bible study and contemporary band practice follows, but participation is not required to attend the dinner. Transition assistance workshop offered There will be a Veterans Affairs disability and vocational rehabilitation workshop at the Airman and Family Readiness Center Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. This is recommended for anyone who is going through a medical evaluation board or filing a VA disability claim upon separating or retiring. Seating is limited to 20 people. AFSA seeks new enlisted, retired members The Air Force Sergeant's Association will host a membership drive Sept. 24 at the base exchange from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enlisted and retired enlisted members who join will receive a free Big Mouth Barbeque sandwich courtesy of AFSA. Current members who bring someone who signs up will also receive a free sandwich. Volunteers needed for Day of Caring Day of Caring organizers are seeking volunteers to perform yard work, painting and light home maintenance for senior citizens in Great Falls Oct. 17. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves, rakes, tools, garbage bags, lawn mowers, trimmers and ladders if available. Volunteers will meet at the Great Falls Main Post Office Oct. 17 at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and donuts prior to departure to job assignments. For more information, call Master Sgt. Base vehicle scale to remain closed The scale at the Traffic Management Office will remain closed for an additional one-to- two months pending certification by Montana State Bureau of Weights and Measures. This calibration and certification is part of an annual requirement. Requirements for new ID cards New ID cards are now being issued at Malmstrom, however, the software program used to issue the new cards requires customers to present two forms of identification in order to receive a new ID. The primary form must be a photo ID. The secondary form can be anything that is federal or government issued, such as a certified copy of a birth certificate, a Social Security card or a voter's registration card.
