341st LRS offers free privately-owned vehicle inspections
The 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron will help prepare all base personnel for winter driving by performing free privately-owned vehicle inspections at Building 870 Oct. 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. Christopher Presnell at 731- 6525.

HAWC to host breast cancer awareness ladies night
The Health and Wellness Center will hold an annual breast cancer awareness month ladies night at the HAWC Oct. 14 at 7p.m. The event will include presentations by cancer survivors, massages, makeovers, chocolate cooking demonstrations, necklace making, yoga demonstrations and treadmill races. Women age 16 and older are invited, and the first 25 women through the door win a prize. For more information, call the HAWC at 731-4292.

Hispanic food tasting
A free Hispanic food tasting will be held at the base chapel Oct. 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call Capt. Estrella Slater Morales at 731-6950.

CRC hosts youth athletic program
The Great Falls Community Recreation Center located at 801 2nd Ave. N. will hold a six-week athletic enhancement program for youth ages 12 to 14 at the CRC from Oct. 14 to Nov. 20. Youth who have taken the class have improved speed, vertical jump, and overall performance. Cost is $85. To enroll in the RESULTS course, call the CRC at 727-6099.

V.F.W. hosts fundraising dinner
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will host a spaghetti dinner at V.F.W. Post 1087 Oct. 24. A silent auction will also be held, and proceeds go to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Cost is $15 for adults and $7.50 for children. To purchase tickets, contact Whitney Cross at 868-2410.

Park and Rec. offers youth swimming lessons
The City of Great Falls Park and Recreation Department will offer youth swimming lessons at the Morony Natatorium at 111 12th St. N for youth ages 5 and up. Classes will be held Sept. 29 to Oct. 9, Oct. 13 to 23, and Oct. 27 to Nov. 6. Class times are 4 to 4:45 p.m. and 5 to 5:45p.m. Cost is $35 for first child and $30 for additional children in the same family. For more information, call the Morony Natatorium at 452-3733.

Volunteers needed for Day of Caring
Day of Caring organizers are seeking volunteers to perform yard work, painting and light home maintenance for senior citizens in Great Falls Oct. 17. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves, rakes, tools, garbage bags, lawn mowers, trimmers and ladders if available. Volunteers will meet at the Great Falls Main Post Office Oct. 17 at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and donuts prior to departure to job assignments. For more information, call Master Sgt. Local scouts to hold clothing drive
