Hearing tests available to retirees
As part of this year's annual Retiree's Weekend, the 341st Medical Group has contracted with Cascade Audiology to offer hearing tests by appointment only on Friday, April 24 at the Malmstrom AFB Clinic, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Contact Cascade Audiology to schedule an appointment at (406) 727-6577.

Operation Purple Camp applications being taken
The National Military Family Association is now accepting applications for its popular Operation Purple Summer camps. Each camp is open to children of an uniformed service member, active duty or reserve component. Apply online at http://www.operationpurple.org. You can also find information specific to the camps at that address. Montana will be hosting one again this year.

Wild Wild West membership night planned
There will be a Wild Wild West membership night at the Grizzly Bend Club April 24. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and one lucky winner will receive a 1995 Ford Truck. Call the club at 731-3359 for more information.

Earth Day 2009 is coming
The annual Earth Day celebration is April 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Montana State University College of Technology campus. There will be children's games, informational booths, a hybrid vehicle display, energy conservation information, recycling information, student poster contest winners will be announced and more. Spring thaw paintball tournament on tap
There will be a spring thaw paintball tournament April 25 at the Malmstrom Paintball Range. Free paint and equipment will be available. Prizes will be awarded and lunch is also provided. Participants must be at least 16 years old; five players per team. For more information or to register, contact Outdoor Recreation at 731-3263.

MApril cleanup volunteers needed
MApril cleanup is a joint venture between Malmstrom, Neighborhood Works, the Chamber of Commerce, Montana Waste Systems and High Plains Sanitary Landfill to clean the city of Great Falls. This year, the event is scheduled for April 25 and May 2 from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are needed to help with trash pickup and removal. Crew sizes vary from five to 30 people along 1-mile routes. Last year, more than 400 people volunteered from Malmstrom. Anyone interested in helping this year can sign up on the Malmstrom 10-day share drive, the folder named MApril, or for retirees or family members who don't have access to the share drive, call Master Sgt. Steven McSwain at 731-2618.

Motorcycle safety classes underway
Motorcycle safety classes are scheduled most weekends now through the end of September for active-duty military. Family members, retirees and appropriated fund civilian employees will be signed up on a stand-by basis only. There is a form letter that needs to be signed by an individual's commander and turned in to the safety office at the time of registration for the class. Airman's Night at the Commissary is May 3
The commissary will host a special night at the commissary to introduce the products and services offered to single Airman. In addition, there will be games, food and prize give-aways. The event is scheduled May 3 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Native American Culture meeting scheduled
The multi-cultural committee will hold a Native American culture meeting April 27 at 3:30 p.m. in building 770, room 25. This meeting will be to begin planning the Native American portion of the multi-cultural celebration to be held in July.
