The 341st Missile Wing Commander Col. Michael Fortney would like to invite all military spouses to attend a "Spouse's Call" June 15 starting at 6 p.m. at the base auditorium.

"The objective of this spouse's call is to provide information on support programs available, give an update on the most recent community assessment survey results and address health issues, and other programs and services of interest to military spouses," said Tech. Sgt. Joseph Hansen, Readiness NCO at the Airman and Family Readiness Center.

Joining Colonel Fortney in presenting the information will be Chief Master Sgt. Cari Kent, the 341st Missile Wing command chief master sergeant.

"This will be a chance for the spouses to meet our new command chief, as well," Sergeant Hansen said.

Topics to be discussed include the new community activity center concept, and information on programs and promotions at the current club. The Force Support Squadron personnel will also discuss the base swimming pool.

Personnel from the Civil Engineer Squadron will address housing issues, such as the current construction and will also address privatization. Construction of a new base exchange is another topic on the agenda.

Staff from the clinic will be on hand to talk about the special needs program, and ongoing programs and services provided by the medical professionals there.

Sergeant Hansen will give an overview of the helping agencies on base and services available for spouses of deployed service members.

Finally, Colonel Fortney and Dr. John Foley, Airman and Family Readiness Center director, will tackle the results of the community assessment survey and the items of concern that came to light as a result of it, including identifying stressors and post traumatic stress disorder symptoms.

"This is a chance to bring all the subject matter experts together to provide crucial information that the spouses typically don't have access to and let them ask the questions they want answers to," said Dr. Foley. "I encourage everyone to come out and hear the messages that will be presented at this forum."
