Post 9/11 GI Bill forums announced
Staff from Veterans Affairs and the base education and training center will host two Post-9/11 GI Bill forums Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the base auditorium. Airmen are encouraged to attend one of these forums so they are better informed when choosing between the Post-9/11 GI Bill and the Montgomery GI Bill. Spouses are welcome to attend. BX Shoppette to open 24 hours a day
Effective July 31, the Base Exchange Shoppette will be open 24 hours a day. For more information, call 454-1301.

DANTES suspends testing on paper
As a result of budget reductions, DANTES must implement a partial suspension of paper-based academic testing for all services, except Coast Guard, effective Aug. 1. Speech testing will not be administered between Aug. 1 and Oct. 1. All other CLEP/DSST testing will continue through Troy University's electronic testing program. Combat Arms Training and Maintenance ranges are off-limits
The CATM ranges, located on the southeast corner of base, are off-limits to all personnel except those conducting official business or attending training. Trespassing on the range or the surface-danger zone behind the range is life threatening. For more information, call 731-6422 or 731-6423.

Malmstrom Museum seeks volunteers
Outgoing Airmen with a love of the Air Force and their job are encouraged to volunteer at the Malmstrom Museum. Volunteers are needed for Aug. 12 to 14, 17 and 18. Shifts are normally 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Volunteers will be trained on museum exhibits and Malmstrom history, and will share the Air Force and Malmstrom story with visitors from across the country. 341st MDG to provide sports physicals
The 341st Medical Group, in preparation for the start of the school year, will conduct sports physicals Aug. 6. Check-in is between 4:30 and 5 p.m., no appointment is necessary. Parents will need to bring a completed Montana High School Association athletic pre-participation physical examination form. Only physical exams for school sports will be given during this time. Artist-in-the-Park day to be held
The sixth annual Artist in the Park Day will be held Aug 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Giant Springs State Park. Up to 30 local artists will be in attendance, and the public is also invited to paint, draw or watch the artists in action. Participants must bring their own art supplies. Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and dress appropriately for weather conditions. For more information, call the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Office at 454-5840.

Bow Hunter Rendezvous to be held
The Lewis and Clark Archery Club will host the 2nd annual Bow Hunters Rendezvous Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Z Bar Z Sporting Clays in Helena, Mont. Cost is $10. Children younger than 11 shoot for free. For more information, go to www.lewisandclarkarchers.com

Club membership drive continues
A club membership drive is underway through Aug. 15 offering new members three months of free dues when they sign up for membership. Current members can receive $10 in club bucks for getting new members to sign up. Go to www.341fss.com for complete details.

New base guide books are here
The public affairs office has received the newest version of the base guide and telephone directory. Personnel should stop by building 500, room 150B to pick up copies for their offices. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Learn hip hop dance
Hip hop dance classes are 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Grizzly Bend Club. Everyone is invited. Classes start with basic movements and will progress into full choreography. Snacks will be provided. Water restrictions in housing outlined
Now through Sept. 30, housing residents are asked to use the odd/even system for watering their lawns. Odd numbered houses will water on odd numbered days and even numbered houses will water on even numbered days. Watering is allowed from 5 to 10 a.m. and 5 to 10 p.m. only.
