The American Red Cross will be teaming with Meadow Gold to bring back
"pint for a pint" to blood donors during the month of August. All
presenting donors at the Great Falls Blood Center will receive a
delicious pint of Meadow Gold Ice Cream as a special thanks for coming
in to donate blood. Don't miss your opportunity to help save a life and
receive a free pint of ice cream.

With only a few weeks before the start of the school season, the Red
Cross urges all current and eligible new donors who have not given blood
this summer to help combat the region's shortage by donating blood.
Blood products are routinely transfused to those with cancer and other
diseases, premature babies, organ transplant recipients, and accident
and trauma victims. Volunteer blood donors are the primary source of
blood used for transfusions, and the blood must be there before it is
needed in order to save lives.

Any healthy person age 18 (or age 17 with signed parental consent) or
older and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood.
Valid identification is required for all blood donations.

All eligible donors are asked to schedule an appointment to
donate blood by calling 727-2212 or visiting www.givelife.org sponsor
code airforce to donate at our upcoming blood drive on Aug. 18 from
10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the lower gym.
