October is breast cancer awareness month
Stop by the Health and Wellness Center during October - breast cancer awareness month - Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The staff is giving away several awareness items and will have a raffle for free prizes. For more information, call Kandice Hanenburg at 731-4292.

Halloween hay rides offered by ODR
Outdoor Recreation staff will conduct hay rides in housing from 5 to 8 p.m. from various locations that end at the wing commander's Halloween sidewalk party. Riders can re-board approximately 35 minutes later to return to their start location. More details are available at ODR or find the schedule posted at www.341fss.com/odrtrips.

Coat drive planned Oct. 24
Boy Scout Troop 43 and Cub Scout Pack 43 from Malmstrom will be holding their 7th Annual Coat and Warm Clothing Drive Oct. 24 to benefit the children residing at the Great Falls Rescue Mission. Donations can be dropped off at 1620 10th Ave. S., in the parking lot of the Popcorn Colonel from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call Char Ross at 771-1210 or Brie Riley at 952-0770.

MSC announces mercantile/dessert auction
The 21st Annual Mercantile and Dessert Auction is scheduled for Nov. 7 at the Grizzly Bend Club. Viewing starts at 5 p.m., light hors d'oeuvres start at 5:30 p.m. and the auction starts at 6:30 p.m. Dress is casual. The cost is $8 per person and reservations are required for all attendees. Thrift Store implements winter hours
The Malmstrom Thrift Store winter hours are Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The store is located on Goddard Ave. in building 581. For information, call 731-3213.
