21st annual Mercantile Auction on tap for Nov. 7 Published Oct. 29, 2009 By Valerie Mullett 341st Missile Wing Public Affairs Office MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE, Mont. -- The Malmstrom Spouse's Club is hosting the 21st annual Mercantile Auction Nov. 7 at the Grizzly Bend Club. This year's theme is "Dreams for Tomorrow," and money raised at the auction will be used for charitable endeavors, such as scholarships for family members. The event starts at 5 p.m. for viewing of items up for auction. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. and the auction starts at 6:30 p.m. Dress is casual and the cost is $8 per person. Some of the items available this year include gift baskets, get-away trips, furniture, artwork, desserts and more. "This auction and event is the MSC's largest fundraiser of the year," said Cheree Zeigler, event organizer. "It has been so rewarding working together with the Great Falls community and Team Malmstrom to make this event so successfully year after year. Without their held, and the proceeds from the Thrift and Consignment Store, we would not be able to support our scholarship program for our military children and spouses, community projects or local, base and national charities." Reservations are required and need to be made by Nov. 3 by e-mailing malmstromspousesclub@yahoo.com or calling Mrs. Zeigler at 952-0667.
