The Community Action Information Board, also known as the CAIB, is here to help families, both military and civilian, enhance their quality of life. It is a cross organizational committee that addresses individual, family and community concerns. The CAIB meets quarterly to identify and resolve issues that impact you, as well as the readiness of all Air Force members and their families at Malmstrom.

The working arm of the CAIB is the base Integrated Delivery System. The IDS is a team of representatives from each base helping agency like the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Health and Wellness Center, Chapel, Sexual Assault Response Coordination Office, Family Advocacy and many more.

Malmstrom's leadership and helping agencies come together monthly to get a sense of what is happening and affecting our military and family members. It meets to improve the delivery of community outreach and prevention programs by establishing a seamless system of services through collaborative partnerships and coordinates activities.

The IDS also develops a comprehensive Community Action Plan which is based on the last community needs assessment results.

Malmstrom's two year CAP will focus on enhancing personal and family adjustment within the Malmstrom AFB community. The heart of the CAP is to strengthen individual and family readiness, and adaptation to the Air Force way of life while enhancing the overall sense of community well-being that encompasses the dimensions of personal safety, community support systems and leadership support. The CAP is reviewed and monitored each quarter during CAIB meetings to ensure we are establishing appropriate and effective changes for our community.

The over goal of the CAIB and IDS is to ensure there is a strong system in place that really helps our Air force members and their families with their abilities to function as productive and healthy members of our Air Force community.
