Call Beth Fasting at (940) 636-7312 if you have items needing to be picked up. The program is being sponsored by the Protestant Women of the Chapel.

Operation Christmas Child spread holiday cheer worldwide

The Protestant Women of the Chapel are collecting shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child which provides gifts and the gospel message to children all over the world. The boxes should be filled with gifts such as school supplies, toys, hygiene items, hard candy, etc. There will be collection boxes at the chapel and the library. Each shoebox must have a label and a donation envelope and be received by Nov. 17. For more information, call 453-0019.

Sidewalk installation may cause traffic delays
Perimeter Road, 77st Street N., and 4th Avenue N., in the areas that surround the on-base fam-camp, will have sidewalks installed through Dec. 18. During this time, these roads could experience 30 to 45 minute lane closures to facilitate concrete delivery. The closure will only affect one lane and two-way traffic will be maintained with the use of a flag person. In addition, new sidewalks are planned along Flightline Drive between 76th and 78th street. The same closure procedures will apply and this closure will affect buildings 500 and 510. Questions should be directed to Mark You at 731-6148.

Speakers needed for community events
The 341st Missile Wing Public Affairs Office is looking for officers, enlisted and civilian representatives to join the Speaker's Bureau program. PA receives several requests a year from community organizations wanting to know more about the Malmstrom mission, deployment experiences and the Air Force in general. These are usually no more than 30 minute presentations. Participation in the program provides great bullets for performance reports and awards packages. To volunteer or for more information, call Master Sgt. Terry Nelson at 731-4591 or e-mail him at terry.nelson@malmstrom.af.mil.
